TECH DESK HOURS WEEK OF THANKSGIVING BREAK

Equipment checked out Wed the 21st will be due back Mon the 26th. Equipment checked out Tue the 20th is due back Wed the 21st.

Sunday -11/18: 12-3pm and 4-6pm

Monday -11/19: 10am-1pm and 4-7pm

Tuesday -11/20: 11:30-1pm (30 minutes less than normal), 4-7pm, and 7-9pm.

Wednesday-11/21:  10am-1pm

Thursday -11/22: CLOSED

Friday-11/23: CLOSED

Saturday -11/24: CLOSED

Sunday -11/25: CLOSED

Monday -11/26: Normal hours resume

Hours for DMA Tech Desk:

 

When is my equipment due back to the tech desk?
Sunday-Wednesday rentals are due 48 hours after being checked out (ie. Check something out on Monday and bring it back Wednesday)
Thursday: Due on Friday
Friday: Due on Monday
What if something is late? For everyday something is late, you are subject to a $10 fine per piece of equipment per day. Communicate with dma.hamline@gmail.com with questions.
How do I get to the Tech Desk? (DRH 5A)
Enter the main Drew Residence hall doors
Go one door past the dance studio and follow signs that read “Stairwell to Rooms 1-11”
At bottom of the stairs open the right door for Rooms 1-11.
Take right and head down hallway past the DMA Lab (DRH5)
At the end of the hallway on the left is the DMA tech office (DRH5A)

Finals Week Tech Desk Schedule

Friday, May 11th will be the last normally schedule day for the Tech Desk.  In the following week for finals, the schedule will follow:

Monday, May 14th

(Last day to check out equipment)

11:30 am – 1:30 pm

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Tuesday, May 15th

(Last day to return equipment)

11:30 am – 1:30 pm

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

As mentioned, Monday of finals week will be the last day to check out equipment, and Tuesday will be the last day to return equipment.  Any equipment that isn’t turned in at a timely manner will be subject to late fees.

Any equipment checked out on Monday, May 14th will be due Tuesday, December 19th by 8:00 pm.  Any rental made before that Sunday will be due after its usual two-day or weekend period. Be respectful to other students during this time of final projects and return equipment as you finish using them.

Change in Tech Desk hours

Students,

Due to low traffic during the evening hours and limited availability of the desk workers, we have decided to cut two of the evening shifts.  If you have concerns about the new schedule, please email khoward05@hamline.edu.  This will be the new schedule effective 2/17:

Sunday: No hours

Monday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Tuesday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Wednesday: 11:30-1:30

Thursday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Friday: 11:30-1:30, 4:00-6:00

Saturday: No hours

Tech Desk hours for the new semester

DMA students,

The Tech Desk in DRH 5a will continue operating in the same hours from last semester.  The first day open will be tomorrow, Feb. 2 at 11:30-1:30 and 4:00-6:00.  Following that day will continue the usual schedule.

This is also a quick reminder to everyone that if you have trouble with your Booked account and the reservation system, please bring your issues to the Tech Desk so that we are able to solve problems in person without causing more clutter on the Booked site.

This normal schedule for the Tech Desk will be:

Sunday: 6:00-8:00

Monday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Tuesday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Wednesday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Thursday: 11:30-1:30, 6:00-8:00

Friday: 11:30-1:30, 4:00-6:00

Altered Thanksgiving Week Tech Desk Hours

Digital media arts students,

Similarly to Midterm break, there will be an altered schedule for the Tech Desk.  The desk WILL NOT be open Thursday 11/23 or Friday 11/24.  No reservation cannot be made for these day, nor can equipment be picked up or returned.  Any equipment checked out on Tuesday 11/21 should be returned on Wednesday 11/22 by 12:30 pm.  Any equipment checked out on Wednesday 11/22 should be returned Monday 11/27 by 12:30 pm.  Any late equipment is still subject to our $10/day fee.
